Message : it clears out the codes depeding on the way you exited the diagnostics code.

: Matt

: : I would run a ECU check and get the code...a day later no errors. It could be a shorting/failing wire to the det sensor.

: : I would ask them if they would replace it for you when the engine is out.

: : : Okay I took my Z to the dealer yesterday for warranty work... thought the starter was going out but now the damn thing is starting up just fine. They said it was just a bad battery and want to charge me $35 or so for an electrical test they did... okay that's fine w/ me. Also the dead turn signal problem went away on its own overnight?!? They tested them today and they're working fine (yesterday my turn signals were dead).

: : : Now to the major problems... The car went into safety boost yesterday and I pulled a code 34 (detonation sensor) from the ecu. They did a consult today and said it didnt show anything wrong. So they want to charge me for the consult...about $65. What's going on? If the ecu is spitting out code 34 then why isn't it showing up on the consult? They told me that my turbos are going out and they want to replace them... and they say that is covered under the warranty and I have no deductable for the warranty. So Im getting new free turbos... but Im still concerned about the detonation sensor. They're also replacing the power steering pump because they said mine had a small leak. So far I have been very satisified with the dealer... they legitimatly want to charge me for the diagnosis fee's for problems that were found to be not covered under the warranty... electrical test and consult test. They said if the consult test came up w/ a problem that was covered by the warranty then I wouldn't be charged for it... but they ran it and it came out clean so I have to pay for it... not a big deal, but I would like to know why it's coming out clean if Im getting error 34 in the ecu. Anyone know whats up with that? I told them I think it's cause somehow the ecu was reset and I told them to drive it for a couple of minutes and then immediatly run another consult test... hope they don't charge me for another. Anyways Bankston in Irving seems to be pretty good... Any comments? Thanzx
